On October 31, 2026, I nominated a winner for the poidh Offline Android AI Bounty.
Congratulations to Commonplace by @0xPD33!
This nomination comes after extensive testing and review alongside bounty contributors, with a final recommendation from majority contributor @VitalikButerin.
Commonplace demonstrated exceptional speed, accuracy, and thoughtfulness with user queries.
We consider it a brilliant showcase of what's possible with modern local AI, running entirely offline on a resource-constrained Android device.

The nomination opened a 48-hour voting period during which bounty contributors could approve or reject the proposed winner directly through the bounty page.
A massive thank you goes out to everyone who participated. We saw an incredible amount of talent, effort, and ingenuity across these submissions.
We strongly encourage anyone interested in local AI to browse the claims, explore the projects, and try out as many of these apps as possible!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without @CryptoStatuette, who organized the review process, as well as all our generous contributors.

A note on onchain coordination
Nerding out for a moment on governance nuances:
This entire process is so cool to me because, while @VitalikButerin did have to trust me enough to nominate a winning claim, he retains 1 ETH worth of onchain voting rights to confirm or deny the payout.
The distinction is important. The nomination process requires some trust, but the ultimate decision on whether the funds get paid out remains with the bounty's contributors, weighted by their contributions.
poidh is simple, scoped, onchain coordination tech.
